Capcom wrapped up Summer Game Fest 2025, where it unveiled the first trailer for Resident Evil Requiem. The sequel to the popular survival horror series has an exact release date.
It looks like the industry insider Dusk Golem was right - Resident Evil series, subtitled Requiem.
We knew that a new game from the series was being developed since last year, from the Capcom Next event. Only now, however, have we finally seen the first trailer for this highly anticipated title. You can watch it below.
Resident Evil: Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026, on PC, PS5, and XSX/S.
Capcom pulled off a top-notch trolling during the SGF show. Before announcing Requiem, they managed to promote the ongoing sale of the series on Steam, and then they conveyed a short message, in which they asked for a little patience while waiting for the ninth installment. So, a lot of people thought the game announcement wouldn't happen today, but Capcom surprised us in a positive way.
